Nostalgia This piece was inspired by Japanese fashion trends that remind me of childhood. The two fashion movements shown in these paintings are "Decora" and "Fairy Kei." The objects in the center of each painting represent a personal childhood memory.

Discovery This work combines two themes: fantasy and reality. Fantasy represents childhood and is shown through iconic cartoon characters. Reality is representative of adulthood and is depicted through scientific notes and imagery.

Realize, Accept, Flow This work represents the ebb and flow in human relationships as one goes through life. When you are a child, you think friendships last forever, but as an adult, you understand that friendships evolve and people can drift apart.

Entice Me This piece explores the theme of diet and health culture. This topic is of no concern to children, but in adulthood we realize the importance of physical health. Fast food is often demonized, and this work has transformed it into a monster.
